3. Photovoltaic This is a system that uses solar energy to produce electricity by the photovoltaic effect. 5. Solar Thermal Solar thermal is a device that allows you to capture solar energy, storing and using it to heat water in substitution of boilers fired by natural gas, or saving electricity.
