2. AUCTION SUMMARY- All teachers, especially ones who have been teaching for a long time, have accumulated many items they don’t need or want, but also don’t want to get rid of. Similarly, most teachers also have some supplies they need and want but are to expensive at a store. Each teacher could put a small amount into a fund for the school for every item they sell or buy.

3. ADVANTAGES -AUCTION  Teachers would have less clutter in their classrooms.  New teachers could have a place to buy supplies for a lower price.  Unused supplies could be put to better use than being thrown away.  What one teacher wouldn’t have a use for might be useful to another teacher.

4. DISADVANTAGES -AUCTION  Some teachers would be hesitant to give up their supplies, thinking they may need them eventually.  What a science teacher needs and wants is probably not the same as what is needed by an English teacher.  Some unused materials could be useless or broken.

5. ADVERTISEMENTS SUMMARY- There is a lot of empty space in the school as well as on the announcements and in concert programs. Companies could pay the school to advertise.

6. ADVANTAGES -ADVERTISEMENTS  There are many places where the ads could be placed.  The ads would be seen by people everyday, frequently.  They are easy to institute; they can be put on the backs of concert programs, mentioned in the morning announcements or just posters hung in the hall.

7. DISADVANTAGES -ADVERTISEMENTS  Companies might not think advertising in front of teenagers is very profitable.  Too many ads could make the school look cluttered.  There’s not many companies that teenagers have a choice in using.

8. CAFÉ SUMMARY- A small café business in the corner of the cafeteria would be open before and after lunch and during school. It would sell coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks.

9. ADVANTAGES -CAFÉ  It would be very popular.  It wouldn’t take up very much room in the cafeteria.  Someone would need to work it, so salaries would have to paid to work it.  The salaries would have to be smaller than the profit.

10. DISADVANTAGES -CAFÉ  Some kids could go overboard with coffee.  Cafeteria workers might not like having another food service there.  Running another business would take time and man power to set up.

11. WHAT DO YOU THINK?? We feel that the benefits far outweigh the risks in most of our ideas. Budgeting is a complicated issue but we feel confident in our suggestions to improve our financial situation. THANK YOU!!!!
