11 Unit 7 Project View the Alan O’Connor clip provided. *Is Alan Actively listening? *How do Alan’s opening comments/view of his job affect his approach to the performance reviews. Does Alan’s view of his job foster a negative or positive work atmosphere with his employees? *Identify specific comments by Alan that show he is either effectively listening to his employees or that he is not. *Using the effective listening guidelines in the text, make three suggestions that would allow Alan to fulfill his responsibility to provide employees with critical feedback about performance and to establish a supportive climate. * What suggestions would you give Alan about how to start interviews in ways that establish a supportive environment for interaction ?

Identified specific comments made by Allan that demonstrated that he was or was not effectively listening. Made three suggestions for Allan to establish a supportive climate using the guidelines from the reading. Suggested ways for Allan to start interviews that would set a positive tone. Organization – 10 points: The paper is 500-600 words. The paper was submitted in Q & A format or using a paragraph format. A reference list was offered in APA style format.
