3 Make a timetable Plan two weeks in advance Use revision lists to block subjects A maximum of two subjects per night Stick to it!

4 Manage your time Only 20 minutes per session Have a reward after each revision period Regular revision helps you to remember

5 How to concentrate Find a quiet place to work Only have out the books you are using for revision Sit at a desk

6 Take short breaks If you feel tired – take a break Do something you enjoy between sessions Have a short break – then change topic. Don’t forget – some sessions will be harder than others!

7 Your best time You need to be alert! Early evening can be better Not late into the night Sleep is very important!

8 Feeling tired? Don’t revise if too tired – you won’t remember it. Get some fresh air. Short sessions stop you feeling too tired

14 Quick revision tips Lists, dates, formulas only need five mins - OFTEN! Make revision cards – carry them with you Close your books and practise a question – how did you do? Ask a parent to talk it through Test one another orally in the playground

15 Use prompt cards Only use key words Focus on topics you find more difficult Carry them with you – look at them when you have a few spare minutes.

16 Don’t panic – just do your best and it will turn out fine!
