2 1. The Power of God Paul reminds them of three things: a)God’s Power to Provide b) God’s Power to Deliver c) God’s Power to Keep He still does the same for His people now.

3 2. The Promise of God “I am doing a work… that you will not believe.” (v41) The promised descendant of King David A Saviour who would rescue his people “… a Saviour, Jesus, as he promised” (v23) But He would also suffer and die (Is.53 & v28,29) “What God promised … he has fulfilled” (v32)

4 3.The Purpose of God “Through this man, the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.” (v38) “To us has been sent the message of salvation.” (v26) “Everyone who believes is set free from every sin…” (NIV. v39) So there is a warning and a choice… “Beware that what the prophets have said does not happen to you.” (NIV. v40) They ‘were astounded’ but they ‘perished’ ! (v41)

5 “He came to his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him … he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:11,12)
