Curriculum  Supernatural 101  Inner Healing and Deliverance  Short-Missions Training  Business As Mission

Supernatural 101  Foundational Principles—2 Weeks  Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering-1 Week  Spiritual Warfare-1.5 Weeks  Spiritual Authority-1.5 Weeks  Supernatural Class Ends June 30th

 The question of evil is one of the fundamental questions that has Confounded humanity since the beginning of time.  “ Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. ” Author: Helen Keller Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2

Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2 Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2 Cont..  Why does evil (bad things) happen to people? “ The real problem is not why some pious, humble, believing people suffer, but why some do not.” Author: C.S. Lewis Because we live in a Broken World - Genesis 3:15-19, Matthew 5:45 Because of our Sinful Nature - Galatians 5:13-18, Romans 1:21-26

 Because God allows it (persecution, trails), for our maturity - Romans 8:17-18, James 1:2-4, 1 Peter 3:16- 18, 1 Peter 5:10, Matthew 4:1-5, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Job 2:5  Because of Satanic/Demonic Attack - 1 Peter 5:8, John 10:10b, Matthew 4:1, 2 Corinthians 4:34, Daniel 10:10-21, Luke 13:16, 2 Thessalonians 2:14-18*, Revelations 12:9-11 Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2 Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2 Cont..

 How to differentiate between a demonic attack & Suffering permitted by God? Demonic Attack- Demonic attack causes separation from God (Spiritual death) - Matthew 4:8-9, John 10:10b, draws us away from God’s purpose for our lives and it keeps us you from advancing Gods Kingdom. Going through difficulty or troubles (suffering) is not necessarily the enemy’s (Satan). We know biblically that God sometimes allows suffering for our maturity-James 1:1-4. “The true test of satanic/demonic Attack is not necessarily the presence of suffering in our lives but whether the suffering creates a separation from God and His purposes for our lives”

Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2 Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2 Cont..  Suffering for Maturity- As I mentioned earlier, suffering is not always the litmus test of a demonic attack but it could be a catalyst for spiritual maturity permitted by the Lord in our lives. James 1:1-4, 12; 1 Peter 5:6-11. Again, it’s important to note that God is a benevolent God. There is no shadow of evil in God but He allows evil in the world to craft goodness out of it-Genesis 50:20. “Ultimately, discerning the source of suffering in lives is not a science or an art, but it is something that we discover through the help of the Holy Spirit.”

 So, what can demonic attacks look like? Many times we are under-attack from the enemy but we don’t have discernment to recognize what is happening to us. So, here are some common attacks or demonic impacts in our lives. Fear (nightmares, fear of the dark, inferiority complex, phobia’s) Pride (fighting, contention, division, self-righteousness, controlling, strife ) Toxic Habits (some addictions have demonic roots: drugs etc) Jealousy (anger, revenge, rage, suspicion) Perversion (lust, pornographic, promiscuity etc) Toxic Emotions ( depression, anxiety, hopelessness, grief, rejection, suicide ) Distraction (business, fame, relationships, money, etc.) Family History (alcoholism, violence, infirmity, poverty) Personal History (Things from the past causing, un-forgiveness, guilt or shame) Physical Attack (Accidents, Illness, Calamities etc) Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2 Framing Evil, Pain and Suffering- Lesson 2 Cont..

 THE GOLDEN RULE: “NO Matter what the origin of a particular trouble might be God is still Sovereign over all things.”
