2 PRIORITIES FOR FY 16 Continue to assist departments to recruit and retain high performance employees who are committed to public service Continue involvement to support the successive collective bargaining process Continue involvement with the Town Auditor’s department to implement MUNIS Time and Attendance process Review third party administrator contracts, meet regularly regarding claims Continue Electronic Personnel Action Form process and review effectiveness with end- users Succession planning: Recruit and train college level intern for personnel administration to prepare for a career in municipal human resources

3 MANAGING RISK Communications with Third Party Administrators Train new staff Disseminate information between MIIA Risk Managers, Department Heads and School Department Professional and Safety Training Internal Training Survey MIIA Trainings and Rewards Program, Kopelman and Paige, Career Source Records Management

4 ASSISTING DEPARTMENTS A TEAM APPROACH Partner with the Town Auditor on payroll and benefits issues and coordinate on the insurance programs Assist the COA to place Tax Work Off Program recipients in Town departments to provide back up coverage and help for projects Member of the Munis Team; facilitated an overhaul of the MUNIS workers’ compensation audit reporting process for Town and School departments; Time and Attendance project Collaborate with Craig Hardimon, Personnel Director, School Department with the Town’s Third Party Administrators for Unemployment and Workers’ Compensation claims. Assist the Town Manager and Department Heads with collective bargaining issues such as research and documentation, grievance hearings, formal and informal meetings, contract interpretation Assist the Town Department Heads with recruitments and orientation of new employees, personnel issues, trainings, meeting facilitation

5 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING Assist the Town Manager and Department Heads in the collective bargaining process Schedule meetings Book rooms Develop proposals Take notes and distribute documents Collect data from comparable communities Prepare new contracts for legal review, file and distribute Follow-up projects such as new MUNIS tables, updating personnel records

6 ASSISTING THE WCOD Serve as the ADA Coordinator for the Town Manage meetings, agendas, minutes, accounts and web page Assist with special projects Liaison between Departments and WCOD Closed Captioning and ASL interpreters for meetings and events Recruit WCOD intern to train the next generation for advocacy and inclusion
