Název SŠ: SŠ-COPt Uherský Brod Autor: Ing. Hana Kubišová, Ph.D. Název prezentace (DUMu): Shot and its Formation Název sady: Technical English for students of study branch Technician Gunsmith 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th class Číslo projektu: CZ.1.07./1.5.00/34.0727 Datum vzniku: 8.12.2012 Uvedení autoři, není-li uvedeno jinak, jsou autory tohoto výukového materiálu a všech jeho částí.

REVISION 3

 From which parts does the cartridge consist?  How do we classify cartridges according to shooting?  How do we classify cartridges according to shape?  How do we classify cartridges according to the method of placement primer?  How do we classify cartridges for firearms? 4

SHOT AND ITS FORMATION 5

 Ejection missiles from the barrel bore is know as a shot.  Blast consists of three successive time segments:  ignition of powder charge,  from burning contents,  of expansion, the expansion of gases resulting burning dust. 6

 The biginning of evolution of wounds is associated with firing pin strike on the primer.  Whatever type of percussion or other ignition device blast ends passing the projectile gun barrel.  From this point enters another part of the shot, which the flight is shot from the gun barrel to the point of impact. 7

 Ballistics is the science of projectile motion.  Ballistics are divided into internal and external.  External ballistics deals with the movement of missiles outside the barrel.  Internal ballistics studies the problems of motion bullet in the barrel firearms. 8

 Depending on whether the dust combustion takes place in a closed, constant area or space, the volume changes, ballisticss can be dividen into theoretical and experimental.  Due to certain differences between the character and the ball shot and pellet shot and differences in flight pellet clump and uniform spherical projectiles ballisticss divided into :  shotgun shots,  spherical shots. 9

 Generally ballisticss are divided into :  mass ballisticss missiles,  uniform ballisticss missiless. 10

 Scattering consists of :  gun,  munition,  gunman,  atmospheric influences.  Source scattering is not only systematic errors, systematic or gross errors. 11

INTERNAL BALLISTICS 12

 Powder charge ignites the primer, which is a source of high flame temperature.  Gases of burning matches mixture formed in the dust compartment pressure cartridge required for perfect ignition and burning powder charge.  The burning rate with increasing pressure is growing rapidly. 13

 When properly firing the burnt grains heated to ignition temperature. There is a greater amount of gases and increasing the pressure.  When the missile can be moved when the ignition phase ends and starts its own burning powder charge. The result is a sharp rise in pressure.  After reaching the peak pressure value starts to decline as the volume per shot increases faster than increasing dust emissions. 14

 Dust gasses expand.  Passing the projectile barrel end of time, and even expanding blast.  The bullet passes through bore overcoming various resistances which are referred to as extrusion resistance. 15

EXTERNAL BALLISTICS 16

 The shot is flying through the air in a gravity field, there are two forces slowing its speed and folding her career-air resistance and gravity Earth.  Resistance of the air affects the speed reduction shot.  Earth's gravity affects the curvature of the trajectory of shot.  Shot centre is a sphere of activity of resistance.  The focus of shot is a center of gravity.  The shot has to have sufficient rotational energy. 17

 Consequently rolling shot is a derivation.  The derivation is depened on :  shooting distance,  shape of shot,  initial speed,  distance of shot,  center of gravity,  pitch grooves. 18

 Spatial curve, which describes a single shot or center of gravity pellet cluster is known as track shot.  Linear track-none of Earth's gravity and air resistance.  Air resistance has an influence on the parabolic track.  Parabolic track then changes to ballistics.  The knowledge of track height is necessary to define the elevation. 19

 Scattering is diversity tracks shots fired under different conditions.  Shots charges move along different tracks.  Linear track- none of Earth's gravity and air resistance.  The effect of the Earth's gravity, the track curves to the shape of parabola.  Knowledge of the height of the track is required to determine the elevation. 20

 Scattering is called in marksmanship variety shots fired railways under otherwise identical conditions.  Shots individual charges are not moving along one track, but different tracks.  Size dispersion pattern increases with the number of shots fired.  The main cause of variation in the height of the initial value fluctuation speed of shot. 21

QUIZ 22

 What is ballisticss?  Can you compare exnternal and internal ballisticss?  Do you know the general classification of ballisticss?  What does internar ballisticss study?  What does external ballisticss study? 23
