Session 1: Technical Interoperability Both EGI FedCloud and Helix Nebula TechArch were explained The TechArch document was published only early this week, so no time for deep analysis Actions: Improve use cases analysis across the initiatives to extract common patterns HN TechArch and EGI FedCloud to study the documentation to meet in around month time to align on technical requirements for interoperability and integration

3. Session 2: Network Connectivity Connecting through GEANT Traffic policy: no issues to connect commercial providers if to carry research traffic Peering CloudSigma already peered with Switch 10Gb/s T-Systems in Germany already peering with DFN Just need to upgrade the contract for the type of traffic (DFN+Helix Nebula) ATOS in NL can be done Costs Option 1. DANTE becomes member of Helix Nebula and provides IP connectivity for the pilot phase for free Option 2. DANTE receives money for the services Action: Decision for option 1.: work with GEANT/DANTE as a research partnership limiting the traffic to recognise the flagships Plan for strategies to open up the services after the pilot phase (e.g. SDN)

4. Session 3: Business Models and Legal Aspects Business Models Actions: Develop more use cases for integrated commercial clouds/ infrastructures Define roles for e-infrastructures in innovative business models EGI to fill the supplier-side survey Legal Aspects The law landscape is evolving, nevertheless there are no cloud specific needs (if compared to Grid), pick up on next workshop Costs Send info to Julia/SAP

5. Report from the workshop EGI.eu will produce a report of the workshop Official document part of the Helix Nebula EC project The document will be published and announced in the Helix Nebula website (probably Nov 2012) Second workshop will be probably in Jan 2012, Frascati (Italy)
