2 LOST PROPERTY We have various items of lost property at the school office. If you have lost anything, please come to Student reception to see if we have it. Lost property will be disposed off at the end of term.

3 NHS Lothian Vaccination Clinics During June 2016 HPV (Cervical Cancer) Vaccination for Girls in S1 – S6 If you missed your HPV vaccination at school there will be a second opportunity to have this. You will also receive a letter to invite you along for HPV if you have missed your vaccination. Remember: You need TWO doses of the MMR vaccine to fully protect yourself from measles, mumps and rubella. 4 Message for S3 (now S4) Pupils Please return S3 ipads to your Maths teacher when asked. This will be happening over the next two weeks and completed before term finishes. Do not leave with anyone else except your Maths teacher. Thank You

10 Alton Towers Trip The deadline for permission and money has now passed. Money needs to be in by the end of the day TODAY or your space will be opened up to other pupils. If you know you are not going but have your name on the original list can you please notify me. If you are interested in going to Alton Towers but were not on the original list can you pass your name to me and I will let you know by Friday 24 th June if you are going. Mr. Graham

11 Suspended Timetable Bass Rock & North Berwick There will be a meeting for all pupils going on the trip TODAY at break in room 306.

12 Suspended Timetable-Golf Any S4, S5 or S6 who have not signed up for an activity and are interested in playing 3 rounds of golf Please see Mr English in room 310 before the end of lunch TODAY. The price will vary depending on numbers.

13 Suspended Timetable Zorb Football Due to outstanding payments for this activity there are now a number of spaces available on: Wednesday 29 th June 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm and Thursday 30 th June 10.00 am – 12.00 pm Please see Mr Dewar in the PE department with £20 to secure your place.

14 Science Centre Trip Wednesday 29 th June 2016! Could all students going to the Science Centre please attend a short meeting at break time on Friday 24 th June in room 123. If you have still to return your form or money please do so ASAP or bring it along to the meeting.

15 Manchester / Blackpool Trip There will be a meeting for this trip on Friday at morning break in room 106 – everyone must attend

16 Forth Bridges Boat Cruise to Inchcolm Island – Thursday 30 th June Could all pupils involved in this forthcoming trip please ensure that they have paid by Friday 24 th June. As stated on the letter, Miss Monaghan and Mrs Gray will meet you all at Eskbank Station at 9.15 am on the morning of the trip. No need to register as school have been informed of the pupils who will be out on this trip. Any other queries, please see Miss Monaghan in Support For Learning.

17 Museum Trip 28.6.16 Could all those who have signed up for the Museum trip as part of the suspended timetable and have not yet returned forms please see Mrs Ross on Friday 24 th June at break or you will not be able to come.

18 Suspended Timetable...Wednesday 29th June Football Experience (Celtic & Hampden Park) A couple of spaces have become available on this trip priced £35.00 Please see Mr McQueen in the Community Project for more details.

19 Suspended Timetable London Trip If you are attending this trip, you must collect a letter and updated itinerary from Kat in the library at break or lunch-time. REMEMBER - YOU MUST MEET AT THE FRONT OF SCHOOL AT 5.30 AM ON MONDAY 27 TH JUNE.

20 Suspended Timetable Lasswade Spa Can those who have signed up for the Lasswade spa day for suspended timetable please bring their £2.00 with them on the day (Thursday 30 June). If anyone has any allergies or special requirements please speak to Miss McDonald in Home Economics beforehand (sensitive skin, allergic to certain beauty products ect)

22 UCAS EXHIBITION 2016 There are still places available for the UCAS Exhibition at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Wednesday 7 th September. Forms are available from the Guidance Base

23 Trainee Roadworker CAN YOU SEE THE MONEY IN LEARNING? It's a great combination – your chance to bring in a wage AND learn new skills. So if want specialised training, real work experience with great prospects, we've got just the job! Based at our Fushiebridge Depot, near Gorebridge you'll start July/August on our Trainee Roadworker Scheme, tailored to give you formal training combined with practical, supervised on-the-job training – and a recognised qualification at the end of it. Requirements You should have or expect to achieve three National4 qualifications, ideally in Maths, English and a Science subject. You should also be able to demonstrate an aptitude and willingness to learn new skills. A willingness to work outside in all weathers and in a team environment is also essential. In addition you should be prepared to obtain a provisional / full driving licence in the course of the training programme. Pay £15,647 - £16,323 per annum. Closing date 1 July 2016
