Project objectives and main outcomes Event / Place / Date 4  Extend and consolidate international cooperation in e-Infrastructures for R&E, thus broadening the impact of the European Research Area (ERA)  Address interoperability and interoperation of Grids and other Distributed Computing Infrastructures, thus supporting collaboration with non-European e-Infrastructures for R&E  Widen the scope of the existing CHAIN Knowledge to Data Infrastructures and Cloud implementations, thus promoting data sharing across different e-Infrastructures and continents  Build trust towards open Scientific Data infrastructures  Address existing and emerging Virtual Research Communities (VRCs) and propose pragmatic approaches, thus demonstrating relevance of intercontinental cooperation in several scientific data fields  Produce recommendations for roadmaps for long-term global collaboration in e-Infrastructures and harmonisation of existing policies, thus providing input to EU policy and decision-making processes
