5 Solve by factoring: The first rule of factoring is to always check for and factor out a GCF! After you’ve done that, see if you can solve or if further factoring is needed.

8 **When we solve polynomials, we set them equal to zero…do that first by getting all terms on one side of the equation!

9 Solve by factoring:

10  Write as a product linear binomials using those factors… Solve by factoring: If there is no GCF, then you will need to use a factoring technique to break the polynomial down into linear factors if possible. Once in the form of linear factor products, use ZPP to solve!  Look for factors of the constant term “c” that add up to the linear coefficient “b”!  Solve using ZPP!!
