It is nowadays an industry standard architecture for statistical organizations. Providing principles and guidance to standardize and share components of statistical production 5

Eurostat CSPA based Service Oriented Architecture strategy, successful implementation in an organisation … is not driven by IT technology needs good organisation and management, and a well integrated Enterprise Architecture based on both business needs and IT strategy needs a Statistical production reference architecture: Governance, service certification, service definitions, SOA infrastructure, guidelines, procedures, Enterprise BPM, configuration and deployment of services, roles and responsibilities 7 In a nutshell… Implementing CSPA is more than re-using services; it needs the commitment of senior management to implement CSPA in the organisation.

Eurostat The way forward… Different levels of implementing CSPA CSPA can be used in different ways: To describe the reuse of the Eurostat dissemination chain using the CSPA compliant guidelines as a service definition Be open to optimise the organisation structure to allow better bridging with the business (ex. client egagement team) Be open for transitions of system components, staff roles and responsabilities Enshrine CSPA into statistical production reference architectures and transformation roadmaps 8
