1 Word 2013 REVIEW AND LOOK AT RIBBONS USING MORE TEMPLATES FREE TRAINING INFORMATION FROM MICROSOFT

2 Home Ribbon We have covered most everything here. More choices are available from dialog boxes in each group.

3 Insert Ribbon Use for anything that you want inserted in your document. Dialog boxes are here also.

4 Design Ribbon We used Themes, Colors, Page Borders – but as you see, there are even more design options

5 Page Layout Ribbon Used to determine how your page displays. Some of these options are also available from Print.

6 References Ribbon We used much of this when we did our reference paper. You can also use the Table of Contents if you are working on a book or paper that needs a Table of Contents.

7 Mailings Ribbon You can use this to address envelopes and labels. You can also create letters that use mail merge – inserting information from your contacts or from a list you create into letters. You create one letter and mail merge it with your list. If you have 50 people in your list, it will create 50 letters personalized with the information from your list.

8 Review Ribbon This can be used if you are sharing a document and want comments on it from others. Proofing section also has the Spell Check and Word Count that you have already used. You can get definitions here and even translate. Word has the same type of Translate here as you were shown in the first lesson.

9 View Ribbon This is how YOU want to see it on your computer screen

10 Using More Templates ◦Word has many templates for you to use ◦We used some with the resume and cover letter ◦Use another template to create something for you. You might create some business cards for you. ◦Open Word ◦Click on Cards and choose a template that you like. Once you have selected the template, click on Create ◦Fill in all of the placeholders with your information ◦Save as My Cards in your Word folder.

11 Printing If you wanted to print your business cards, you would purchase heavier paper and put in the printer. You would then print ◦Click on File and choose Print ◦You will see your document and the printer that is associated with your computer ◦You have some of the same options here that were on the Page Layout ribbon here also. ◦Click on Print if you do not need to change any options
