1 OIL#23 Requirements for 4WD dynamometers WLTP-08-05e by Japan

2 Proposed changes 2 Annex5 2.3.1.2. Upon initial installation and after major maintenance, the one of the following paragraph (2.3.1.2.1 or 2.3.1.2.2) and paragraph 2.3.1.2.3. shall be satisfied. The speed difference between front and rear rolls is assessed by applying a 1s moving average filter to roll speed data acquired at a minimum of 20 Hz 2.3.1.2.1The difference in distance covered by the front and rear rolls shall be less than 0.1 m in any 200 ms time period. If it can be demonstrated that this criteria is met, the speed synchronization requirement in paragraph. 2.3.1.3. below is not required. This must be checked for new dynamometer instalments and after major repairs or maintenance. 2.3.1.2.2.The speed difference of all roll speeds shall be synchronous to within +/- 0.16 km/h. This may be assessed by applying a 1s moving average filter to roll speed data acquired at a minimum of 20 Hz. This must be checked for new dynamometer instalments and after major repairs or maintenance. 2.3.1.2.3. The difference in distance covered by the front and rear rolls shall be less than 0.2 per cent of the driven distance over the WLTC. The absolute number shall be integrated for the calculation of the total difference in distance over the WLTC. Justification : To make the requirement of 4WD chassis dynamometers more clear and simplified. (please take a look at the slide 3&4 for more detail)
