3  The beginning of the book starts in Ancient Greece.  Ulysses and his men are fighting the prince of Troy who stole the princess that Ulysses and many kings swore to protect.  Not being able to breach Troy’s walls, Ulysses gets a hollow horse and pretends to leave. Really there are soldiers in the horse.  The Troy soldiers bring the horse in at night and the soldiers escape and kill all the people.  This trick upset Poseidon, god of the sea, since he thought it was an offering to give Ulysses and his men good weather at sea.  As Ulysses sails back home, Poseidon curses him with bad events.  He must sail through terrible weather and fight terrible monsters.

4  Ulysses and his crew meet the Cyclops and get stuck in his cave.  Ulysses escapes by blinding the Cyclops with a burning sword in the eye.  The Cyclops asks his father, Poseidon, to give Ulysses and his crew bad luck.  Poseidon curses Ulysses yet again.  Ulysses sails to many islands with different creatures and must fight them.  He also gets help from gods that want to help him and they give him advice.  Ulysses men upset Zeus and Zeus destroys their boat leaving only Ulysses alive.

5  Ulysses finally is on his way back home.  He finds a cave near the shore and he stores his supplies there.  He goes and visits his old friend without his old friend knowing he is Ulysses.  Ulysses finds his son and they have an idea to overthrow the current ruler.  They go and fight all the king’s warriors and kill them.  They advance through the castle and meet the king.  They get trapped in a room with the king and his soldiers trying to break into the room.  Ulysses finds a big boulder in the room and right when the soldiers break through the room, he rolls it and kills all the soldiers and the king.  Ulysses and his son rejoice with happiness and they become the new leaders.
