SECOND - High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society.

7 The Rotary Club of ------------- THIRD - The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life. FOURTH - The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

8 The Rotary Club of ------------- Why Do People Join???

9 The Rotary Club of ------------- >5 years: Networking, developing business and leadership skills 5-20 years: Connecting with their community and providing service to others. 20+ years: Friendships

10 The Rotary Club of ------------- Key Principles:  People join and stay in Rotary for their reasons, not yours.  Their fundamental reasons are emotional, which are, in turn, intellectually justified.

11 The Rotary Club of ------------- Why Do People Leave???

12 The Rotary Club of ------------- Three Options: 1. Club is not doing enough to meet member’s fundamental needs. 2. Club is doing enough but current and prospective members don’t see it. 3. Club is not attracting those people whose needs can be met by the club.
