(15 th ) So what is it that makes a person unclean? (unclean = defiled)

Mk.7:14-15,18-23; Mt.15:10-11,16-20 Things that come out of the mouth are from the heart and these are the things that make unclean/defile: Evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance, folly

(16 th ) Jesus said: “…no one can come to Him unless the Father has enabled him.” (see also Jn.6:44) what does this mean?

Jesus says the Father must “draw” (Jn.6:44) and (Jn.6:65) the Father must “enabled” the second statement Jesus says refers back to the 1 st statement. This might mean that both the drawing and enabling are the same act of God (the Father).

(19 th ) “Your eye is the lamp of your body” please explain this statement and its context.

Lk.11:33-36 (27-36) The context preceding this statement has to do with (29) a wicked generation that asks for a miraculous sign. Jesus compares the Queen of Sheba and Nineveh as both accepting what they were told – no miraculous signs needed.

(20 th ) A woman was crippled by what and for how long? What can be learned from this?

Lk.13:10-17 (11,16) Crippled by a spirit for 18 years, she was bent over and could not straighten up at all. Jesus said it was satan who had bound her.

(21 st ) So what should a person use their worldly wealth for? Explain.

Lk.16:9 (1-15) Jesus: “use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.” Worldly wealth = mammon =
