Joel 1:1-3 NIV 1 The word of the L ORD that came to Joel son of Pethuel. 2 Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?

Joel 1:1-3 NIV 3 Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.

Joel 1:4 NIV 4 What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.

Joel 1:13-15 NIV 13 Put on sackcloth, O priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.

Joel 1:13-15 NIV 14 Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the L ORD your God, and cry out to the L ORD. 15 Alas for that day! For the day of the L ORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.

Joel 3:18-21 NIV 18 “In that day the mountains will drip new wine, and the hills will flow with milk; all the ravines of Judah will run with water. A fountain will flow out of the Lord’s house and will water the valley of acacias.

Joel 3:18-21 NIV 19 But Egypt will be desolate, Edom a desert waste, because of violence done to the people of Judah, in whose land they shed innocent blood.

Joel 3:18-21 NIV 20 Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem through all generations. 21 Their bloodguilt, which I have not pardoned, I will pardon.” The Lord dwells in Zion!

Joel 1:4 NIV 4 What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.

Joel 1:4 NLT 4 After the cutting locusts finished eating the crops, the swarming locusts took what was left! After them came the hopping locusts, and then the stripping locusts, too!

Joel 2:1 NIV 1 Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand—

Joel 3:17 NIV 17 “Then you will know that I, the Lord your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her.

Psalm 103:19 NIV 19 The L ORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.

Psalm 135:6 NIV 6 The L ORD does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths.

Genesis 2:23-24 NIV 23 “At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’ ”

Genesis 2:23-24 NIV 24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.

Psalm 139:13 NIV 13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Jeremiah 1:5 NIV 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Nehemiah 5:4-5 NIV 4 Still others were saying, “We have had to borrow money to pay the king’s tax on our fields and vineyards.

Nehemiah 5:4-5 NIV 5 Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our countrymen and though our sons are as good as theirs, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but we are powerless, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others.”

Proverb 22:7 NIV 7 The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Acts 2:1-4 NLT 1 On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place.

Acts 2:1-4 NLT 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.

Acts 2:1-4 NLT 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Acts 2:16-21 NIV 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 “ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

Acts 2:16-21 NIV 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.

Acts 2:16-21 NIV 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

Joel 2:25 NIV 25 “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten….

Joel 2:13 NIV 13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the L ORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
