4 Mission Statement Our purpose is to provide support and resources to nurses in need, enabling them to physically, mentally, and emotionally function to the best of their ability.

5 Philosophy We believe that nurses need the same support and care we provide our patients. Nursing is a career that can be mentally, physically, and emotionally taxing. We strive to provide nurses with the best resources to cope with grief, loss, and stress. To do so, we encourage positive self- care behaviors and healthy lifestyles, all while providing support and guidance to be your best. We strive to promote healthy behaviors to nurses in body, mind, and spirit.

6 Goals Partner with local health care organizations to enhance services offered to nurses Provide nurses with information and resources to partake in healthy behaviors. Ensure nurses have access to diet, sleep, stress, and coping recommendations for healthy living. Implement grief and loss support groups for nurses.

7 Objectives To enroll 10 health care facilities into our program within the first six months. To have a 10% increase of care facilities who sign up for our program each month for 12 months. To enroll 10 nurses each month in grief and loss support groups over the first 6 months. To enroll 10 nurses each month in stress management support groups over the first 6 months. To have 80% completion rate of all programs over the first 6 months. To establish a monthly newsletter as a form of communication and promotion of services within the first 3 months.

9 President Leadership ▫Transition from new organization to sustainable entity ▫Support mission of NHN & acts as ambassador ▫Provide governance ▫Executive overseeing all NHN employees and services Governance ▫Implements & sustains strategic plan ▫Develops and maintains relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders ▫Reviews outcomes and metrics ▫Planning & facilitating board meetings with executive staff ▫Ensures mission statement, goals, and objectives of NHN are being met Fundraising ▫Collaborates with CFO to generate substantial annual revenue ▫Ensures NHN applies for all eligible grants ▫Makes a personal annual gift to NHN ▫Ensure 100% of NHN staff make an annual donation

11 SecretaryChief Financial Officer Provides clerical support to all staff Serves as assistant to President and Vice President Provides customer service, assists guests and clients with scheduling of programs and meetings Responsible for meeting minutes & office communications Other office duties as required Manages all finances of organization Applies for and manages all grants and donations Solicits donations and philanthropy Maintains accurate records of income and expenditures Provides quarterly financial reports to the board of directors & donors Fundraising: ▫Collaborates with President on fundraising efforts  Plans and executes annual fundraiser ▫Identifies and applies for grants and scholarships ▫Maintains list of donors and stakeholders

12 Director of NursingDietitian Supervises all nursing staff Collaborates with executive board to ensure the organization's outcomes are being met Coordinate monthly staff meetings Leads weekly staff huddles to encourage and update staff Leads nursing research for implementation and outcomes of programs offered Maintains relationships with local nursing executives and academia to promote NHN Performs individual nutrition assessment on each client Provide nutritional advice and counseling Create a nutritional plans Evaluate the effectiveness of the nutritional plan for each client Leads nutrition seminars and classes

13 Mental Health NurseHolistic Nurse Completes a mental health assessment for all clients Creates collaborative care plan for the client and monitors progress Leads sessions on coping skills, mental health, and stress management Provides clients with appropriate community resources Facilitate group sessions on healing, meaning and purpose Educates nurses on psychological, physiological, and spiritual connections Provide group sessions focusing on biofeedback, meditation, relaxation
