Why should you care? – Don’t get sued – Don’t get accused of plagiarism – Don’t ruin your reputation

Seth Lewis seth.lewis@mail.utexas.edu Fair Use What is “fair use”? – A sort of gray area that allows you to use parts of others’ work if you’re using it for news reporting, criticism, academic or similar purposes – But … it’s debatable, so be careful! Now, let’s deal with reality – If you’re a small-time blogger, few content creators are going to raise hackles. – But, be good, even when none few are watching.
