6. Bubble Sheet Instructions You must use a blue or black pen or a pencil to fill in the bubbles on the SDS. Each box should contain one character (letter/number/symbol). The scanner will pick up only one response per item. You should black out the corresponding bubble for each character. Dashes (-), at sign (@) and apostrophe (‘) are included. However, please note that you will not find accents and other special characters. In case your name contains accented characters, you may shade in the unadorned counterpart (e.g., u for ü, a for å, e for é, n for ñ). Incomplete bubbles, x’s or checks will NOT be recognized by the scanner. Do not write or mark outside of bubble.
