Income $ 735.50Offering (YTD) $ 536,072.11 Special Fund$ 800.00 Total430 Weekly Total $ 266,600.00 FOCUS ON MISSION Mission Update from Ron Yu, Part Il: Restaurant Ministry I was amazed to see how partnership and fellowship could generate zeal and innovation in creative ministries in and through restaurants. For example, Chef Li has traveled 3 times to Canada to evangelize through cuisine demonstration and training. The local ministry has put Li ’ s testimony on DVD and CCTV, spreading the Gospel through multimedia. The staff team experienced nice changes: improved service, unity in team spirit, and interest in spiritual matters such as reading and studying Bible. Earlier this month, my team went to survey Christian restaurants in Shanghai. World Chinese Restaurant Mission has developed a new discipleship training materials for restaurant ministry in Hong Kong and Shanghai in April. Those who received the training in Shanghai had implemented the program in several settings. The field-testing was well-received. The training will be done again in Shenzhen and other cities. This is a much-needed training as missional restaurants are in a position to multiply and spread the Gospel more quickly and effectively. Please pray for restaurant staff in the Guizhou restaurant that their hearts may be open to the Gospel through the restaurant ministry; Pray for restaurant ministry training in coming weeks in Shenzhen and other cities that Christian teams in restaurants may be equipped for more effective evangelism and Bible-study in the restaurant setting. Give thanks to the Lord always! May the Lord fill your hearts and mine with praise and thanks during the season.
