2 PEMDAS is simple! Just remember these steps… PEMDASPEMDAS arentheses 2 (6+2) =2+8 xponents 20- 2 = 20-16 4 + + ultiplication 3+ 23 =3+6 ivision 10- 20÷5 =10-4 ddition 5+6 -2=11-2 ubtraction 20-8 +2=12+2

3 But there’s a twist! If you see Multiplication and Division in the same expression, you solve it left to right. Same for Addition and Subtraction 3∙4÷2 = 12÷2 = 6 4+8-5 = 12-5 = 7

4 Lets do an example! Lets solve this expression step by step… 32+(4 ÷2) -3 2 First we solve what's in Parentheses. And in the parentheses we solve the exponents first. 32+(16÷2) -3 Now we do the division within the parentheses 32+8-3 6+8-3 Now we do the multiplication Finally we do the addition and subtraction from left to right 11
