This symbol is used to encourage people to recycle wherever possible
THE GREEN DOT
This symbol is used on packaging in many European countries and it indicates that the manufacturer has contributed towards the cost of recycling the packaging.
THE MOBIUS LOOP
This is the international recycling symbol and it indicates that a product can be recycled.

The percentage in the centre shows the amount of material that is recycled.

2. NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PAPER MERCHANTS MARK
To be given this mark the paper/board must be made from a minimum of 75% genuine waste paper or baord fibre. The percentage shows the proprtion of recycled material in the product.
PLEASE PUT THIS IN A BOTTLE BANK
This symbol is used to remind people to recycle glass bottles and jars either in a bottle bank or a collection.
RECYCLABLE ALUMINIUM
This symbol indicates that the packaging/product is made from aluminium which can be recycled.
RECYCLABLE STEEL
This symbol indicates that the packaging/product is made from steel which can be recycled.
COMPOSTABLE PLASTIC PACKAGING
This symbol is used on plastic packaging that is biodegradable.

3. TIDYMAN SYMBOL EUROPEAN ECO-LABEL CARBON FOOTPRINT KITEMARK CE MARK
The do not litter symbol encourages people to dispose of unwnated packaging carefully and thoughtfully.
EUROPEAN ECO-LABEL
This symbol is used to label and identify products that have minimal environmental impact.
CARBON FOOTPRINT
This symbol indicates the amount of CO2 and other greenhouse gases emitted as part of a products manufacture, distribution, use and disposal.
KITEMARK
This symbol means the British Standards Institute has independantly tested a product, confirmed that the product conforms to the relevant British Standard and has issued a license to the company to use ths symbol.
CE MARK
This mark certifies that a product has met European Union health, safety and environmental requirements which ensure consumer safety.

4. COPYRIGHT MARK THE E MARK FAIRTRADE
Copyright protects cretive or artistic works and you can only use copyrighted work with the copyright owners permission.
THE E MARK
This symbol is used on a label to indicate that a product has been packed according to the requirements of the European Communities average weight rules.
FAIRTRADE
This symbol shows that workers in developing countries have receieved a fair wage for their work.
