Individuals held an average of 11.7 jobs from ages 18 to 48, with nearly half of these jobs held before age 25. *Current Tenure: Wage and salary workers average 4.6 years with current employer 2014 bls.gov The median number of years that wage and salary workers had been with their current employer was 4.6 years in January 2014, unchanged from January 2012, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today.
