1 J O Y

2 Isaiah 12 Leader: In that day you will say: Congregation: “I will praise you, L ORD. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. 2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The L ORD, the L ORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”

3 Leader: With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. 4 In that day you will say: Congregation: “Give praise to the L ORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. 5 Sing to the L ORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. 6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

4 In that day you will say: “I will praise you, L ORD. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. Who is speaking? “That day” is both (+) and (-) in scripture You were angry with me.

5 “The greater the sense of entitlement we feel, the greater the indignation we feel about being judged by anyone other than ourselves.” - Peter Eberly If you can’t say, “you were angry with me,” there is a good chance you are living out of a sense of entitlement.

6 In that day you will say: “I will praise you, L ORD. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. Who is speaking? You were angry with me. Anger  Comfort If you have reached this point, you have made the most astonishing and glorious discovery possible!

7 Surely God is my salvation; Behold! Yeshuah What does salvation mean?

8 I will trust and not be afraid. “If I believe Jesus is greater, I pray for boldness. If I believe Jesus is less, then I pray for the waves to dissipate.” – Peter Eberly Ø I will know, learn, change, grow, understand, achieve. I will trust. This only comes from a heart that knows that it was once in opposition to God, and God did something about it.

9 The L ORD, the L ORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” 3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. Who is the focus on? Spring/Source, not reservoir The point is not what comes out, the point is the source.

10 4 In that day you will say: “Give praise to the L ORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. 5 Sing to the L ORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. 6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.” Give praise Proclaim Make known Sing Let this be known Shout aloud FOR Great is the Holy One of Israel
