2 Extension Jeopardy! Rules There are three categories of extension topics. Each category has three questions, with the value of each correct question going up by 100 points as you move down the list. Each team will choose a representative who will select a category and a point value. Each team will also identify a score-keeper, who will keep track of their team’s points. The operator will click on the selected point value on the board to reveal the clue. The announcer will read the clue. Each team discusses the answer, and when they are certain of the answer, the team representative hits the buzzer to respond. The operator will determine which team buzzed first. All conversation must stop when someone buzzes (responses given without being called on will not count). Answers to clues must be phrased in the form of a question. If a response is correct, the team will be awarded the point value and will select the next category. An answer does not need to match word-for-word to be correct; as long as it is the same idea, it counts. clue. If a response is not correct, the point value will be subtracted from that team’s score; the other teams, in order of their “buzz,” have a turn guessing the answer to the clue. At the end of the game, the team with the most points wins!
