3 Divergent Boundary Plates are moving away from each other Magma rises between the plates creating new oceanic crust

4 Convergent Boundary Plates are moving towards each other Creates subduction zones Destroys crust due to melting, deforms due to squishing 3 types of convergent boundaries

5 Transform Fault Boundary also called a Strike-Slip Fault Plates sliding past each other Deforms crust due to friction Can create other small fractures (faults) Results in earthquakes Ex. San Andreas Fault in California
