As Pharaoh drew near, the sons of Israel looked, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they became very frightened; so the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord. Then they said to Moses, “Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? - Exodus 14:10-11a

Why have you dealt with us in this way, bringing us out of Egypt? Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, 'Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians'? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness." - Exodus 14:11b-12

But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. - Exodus 14:13

All the people and the tax collectors justified God, being baptized in the baptism of John, but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, not being baptized by him. - Luke 7:29-30

He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. - Mark 16:16

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. - Matthew 28:18

Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." - Acts 2:38-39

And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!" So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. - Acts 2:40-41
