3 3 Portal v2.6 Service Pack 1 6/27/2016 ©2007 GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms All Rights Reserved New Features - Details Slide Show – The Slideshow is a new applet designed to continuously loop through the displays it finds in a specified folder at a set rate. – The slideshow is implemented as another application that is launched via the URL line. – The displays are cached in memory within the SlideShow applet so changes to the displays will not show up until the next time it is started. – It is highly advised not to use the WebControl in any of the displays. – The displays are fetched from the server and displayed in the order that the server returns them. Grid Related – Formatting as a Percentage – A new check box, Percentage, is available on the Columns/Format tab of the Grid and Historian Grid dialog boxes, that allows you to configure the grid column to display numeric data as a percentage. Each numeric row in the grid is multiplied by 100 and a % symbol is appended. – Hyperlink in Grid – When you add a hyperlink to a grid, you can double-click anywhere in the grid during run-time to launch the hyperlink. – If grid is also configured to be modifiable in run-time, the hyperlink takes precedence; the Grid Configuration dialog box does not appear.

4 4 Portal v2.6 Service Pack 1 6/27/2016 ©2007 GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms All Rights Reserved New Features - Details Security Related – Automatic Logout of Portal on Internet Explorer Shutdown – A new check box on the Application Preferences dialog box, Allow Logout on Shutdown. When set, users are automatically logged off the Portal server if they shut down Internet Explorer or browse away from Portal to another web page. – Synchronization of Role on Login to Portal – A new check box on the Roles General tab, Synchronize New User at Login. This setting allows new users to be synchronized to a role the first time they log in to the Portal server. – If the user's Domain/Group matches with the Domain/Group defined for a role, the user is automatically added as a Portal user and is made a member of the Role. – Role-Defined Startup Display – A new list box, Startup Display, and check box, Use Role Startup Display, are available on the Role and User General tabs, respectively. These provide the ability to define a startup display for a user based on a role the user is a member of. – Defining a startup display at the role level overrides the default user preference startup display and the default application preference analysis display, if either is defined. – Guest User Requires No Credentials – Proficy Portal now provides a Guest account that does not require a password to log into the Portal server if security is enabled. – User role now available as a system variable – The current user role is now available as a system variable. This system variable returns a list of all roles the current user is a member of. – This list returned as a single string; for example, "Role1, Role2, Role3". If you connect this system variable to parameters, all roles for the user are connected as one variable, not as three separate variables.

5 5 Portal v2.6 Service Pack 1 6/27/2016 ©2007 GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms All Rights Reserved New Features - Details Plant Apps Connector – Support for Multiple Time Zones – The Plant Applications connector provides the ability to specify time zones for a plant database, parameter time ranges, and timestamp columns in the results. – Plant Database: You can configure a time zone for the plant database on the data source configuration panel. The selected time zone can be an explicit GMT offset or it can be the Portal server time zone. – Parameter Time Ranges: You can configure a time zone for time range parameters on a display item's configuration panel. The selected time zone can be an explicit GMT offset, the Portal Server time zone, the Portal Client time zone, or the Plant Database time zone. – Timestamp Columns: You can configure a time zone for timestamped columns on a display item's configuration panel. The selected time zone can be an explicit GMT offset, the Portal Server time zone, the Portal Client time zone, or the Plant Database time zone. – Numeric and Timestamp Datatypes – The data types for calculated columns have been updated to be numeric or timestamp, as required. Data returned from the Plant Applications connector now displays in charts as expected. Backup/Restore Utility – A back up and restore utility that allows you to back up your entire Portal installation and move it to another server, or to simply back up your installation and archive it. These tasks can be done using either the Proficy Portal Backup & Restore Utility dialog box or the command line interface. – The Backup & Restore Utility dialog box is intended for those users who will occasionally back up their files. The command line interface allows for both more specification in the behavior of the program and the ability to be integrated into a script.

6 6 Portal v2.6 Service Pack 1 6/27/2016 ©2007 GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms All Rights Reserved New Features - Details System Tree Justification – A new check box, Scroll Path to Visible, is available on the Application Preferences dialog box that is used to indicate whether an item selected in the system tree should scroll to the right to make the display name visible. Time Chart Re-Fetch Data on Zoom – A new check box, Requery on Zoom, configured on the Chart tab of the Time Chart Configuration dialog box, enables Portal to requery the data when you zoom in on a Time chart during run-time. – When you zoom in on a specific area of interest in the Time chart, the data source is requeried and retrieves only the data that falls into the start and end times delineated by the zoom area. Text Box Control focusLost Event – The focusLost event triggers when the Text Box control loses focus. For example, if you click outside of the text box, the input focus changes and the event triggers a notification to the system that the control no longer has input focus. This allows the user to enter text into the control without the need to press the Enter key.
