14 Character Counts Responsibility Planning 101 Planning means figuring our AHEAD OF TIME how to do something so you can proceed efficiently. Planning is purposeful and deliberate. Sometimes you can plan things in your head (Will I wear my red shirt tomorrow or my blue shirt?) Sometimes plans need to be written down. The more detailed your plan is, the more likely it is to succeed. Steps to a Successful Plan: 1.Write a list of things you need to do, then prioritize it by putting a “1” by the most important task, a “2” by the next most important one, etc. 2.Write down when each task needs to be done by—Deadlines! 3.Write down what you will need to accomplish each task (Materials, books, other people to help, etc.) That way you won’t start working on something and then have to stop! 4.Always have a Plan “B” (Backup plan)-Try to predict obstacles (“If it rains Monday, I can mow the lawn on Tuesday before practice.”) This will help you get all of your tasks done! Wilson, 2015

15 We will be having our last grade-level spirit day for the school year! Show us what you’ve got! 6 th grade—wear white 7 th grade—wear orange 8 th grade—wear black
