24 24 Kaohsiung Harbour 1-5 Container Center Automatic Gate Control Gate Entry/Exit Time for truck from 3-5 minutes shortens to 10 seconds. 4 Million trucks,2 thousand companies and 58 thousand staffs are beneficial from this system per year. 4 Million pieces of paper per year and police manpower 17 thousand per year are saved. Improved Harbor Area Logistics Operating Performance

25 25 Improved Information System Service Performance Implement e-Payment & e-Invoice system,cut maritime company’s cost from10%-30%. Implement Vessel Management System (web Version), provide automatic print out,data download for statistic analysis and reuse,data exchange with other Navigation and management system. Save labor’s work.

26 26 Improved Information System Service Performance Implement Port State Control System, execute 1,084 vessel’s inspection from 2003/1/1 to 2007/7/31, log inspection result by internet web site to be queried and referred by other PA and ask the carrier to fix the defect, enhance the performance and quality for active port state control operation. Implement the BPR for Navigation and Management System (third stage) to simplify 15 application processes, provide maritime user’s application procedure by Internet, the user can query the application status any time, and the result of application will send to the user automatically by e- mail.
