3 When did Judaism start? Judaism started in 1800 B.C when Abraham refused to worship the idols which were common during that period.

4 Where did Judaism start? Judaism started in the promised land of Canaan Palestine, also known as Israel

5 Basic Beliefs Jews believe that there is one God who created and rules the world. Jews believe that one person cannot die for the sins of another person.

9 Social influence today The long, rich history of Judaism gives the western world it's shape today. If there weren't any Jewish people, there would be no cell phones, no microprocessors, and few medical advances.

10 Political influence today Women's rights were carefully maintained in this ancient culture. Today's laws giving women equal rights under the law are a by product of Judaism.

11 The prophets The books of The Prophets constitute an important section of the tanak. The second four books of the Hebrew bible joshua judges samuel kings Twelve Profits Hosea, Amos, Joel, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi.

13 First 5 books of the Hebrew bible Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers Deuteronomy Torah These were the first books to become sacred in Judaism. These books are read in the synagogue service every Sabbath.
