1. Job Performance Requirement 7-3 Donning SCBA  Seat- Mounted Apparatus

2. JPR 7-3A A Check the cylinder pressure prior to response, if possible. Do not attempt to check the unit when the vehicle is in motion. If this is not possible, use the buddy system, turn the unit on, and check the cylinder gauge when you dismount the apparatus.

3. JPR 7-3B B With straps fully extended, place the right arm between the right shoulder strap and back plate assembly. Repeat this action for the left arm. Tighten the shoulder straps by pulling out and down on the straps.

4. JPR 7-3C C Grasp the waist strap and buckle the belt, adjusting the belt for a firm fit on the hips. Do not entangle the waist belt with the vehicle seat belt.

5. JPR 7-3D D Fasten the seat belt properly; the apparatus should not be in motion until this step is completed.

6. JPR 7-3E E Dismount the apparatus and recheck shoulder and waist straps.
