2. I AM THE VINE

3. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

4. 1. The true vine.

5. 15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

6. 2. Staying connected produces fruit.

7. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

8. 3. Being disconnected produces nothing.

9. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

10. 4. Dead branches.

11. How do we stay connected to the vine?

12. 1. Do what Jesus says.

13. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

14. 2. Love like Jesus loves.

15. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
