Publishing and Exporting a Flash File 2 Principle ways of getting your work to the Public 1.Online - publish as a SWF and FTP online 2.Export as a self-contained Projector to play off a hard- dirve ( desktop)
2
Publishing and Exporting a Flash File Making a SWF -requires a browser with correct plugin ( + correct version) to play -Needs to be hosted online in a server -Approx. 10% of original file size -Needs consideration and compromise re: download times and speed of online playback -Can play in browser as SWF but usually needs an HTML file to house it so that size and dimensions remain as in authoring version
3
Publishing and Exporting a Flash File Making a projector -Self-contained - has all the pulgins, xtras and files to play without browser -Can play off DVD, CD, Desktop………….. -Different versions needed for Mac or PC -Slightly larger than original file size -Can use heavier media ( larger video, richer audio…)
