6  Recommendation paper for COTED Energy meeting:  Mandate CROSQ to coordinate the development of regional energy efficiency standards in close cooperation with COPANT  Incentive schemes to promote the import, sale/ purchase of renewable energy and energy-efficient equipment  Incentive schemes to promote the efficient use of energy  Requirement to display energy efficiency labels at the point of sale ACTIVITIES (ONGOING)

7  Workshop for Bureaux of Standards  To make final decision on equipment to be procured for energy efficiency tests  To initiate the discussion, which energy efficiency standard and labeling model to follow  Revision of Energy Label Training materials  Assistance to SLBS in the adaptation of energy efficiency labeling standards for fridges and AC ACTIVITIES (ONGOING)

8  Development of a chapter on Energy Efficiency for Energy Module teaching material developed by OAS/CSEP  Integration of the topic of energy efficiency and energy-efficient technologies in Curricula of Community Colleges  Planning of media campaign (TV and radio spots) ACTIVITIES (ONGOING)

9  Development of a monitoring system for the enforcement of the EE policy  define data to be collected,  point of collection (e.g. Customs - ASYCUDA; Min of Finance from retailers)  Develop system to collect data required by BoS for making standards mandatory NEXT ACTIVITIES PLANNED

10  Analysis of the legal basis for the determination of import duties (treaties, regional contracts, national legislation etc.) NEXT ACTIVITIES PLANNED

11  Initiate and guide discussion process among regional BoS and CROSQ to align the national standard development process with COPANT.  Support COPANT through CROSQ/OECS to synchronise with EU and other international regulations and  Clarify how products for the US market receive COPANT based labels for Latin America  Cooperation for COPANT/PTB Energy Efficiency Standards workshop in July 2013 in Brazil NEXT ACTIVITIES PLANNED

12  Procurement of equipment for energy efficiency and quality test stands for BoS (GIZ HQ)  Setting up the test stands at BoS  Training for BoS laboratory staff how to implement the energy efficiency and quality tests NEXT ACTIVITIES PLANNED

13  Communications Campaign  Once the Communications consultant has completed the ToR, tendering of the production of 3 video and 3 radio clips  Airing of these clips  Collaboration with other partners (e.g. energy units, utilities) for further campaigns NEXT ACTIVITIES PLANNED

14  Energy Information Centre  Discussions with VINLEC to re-open their Energy Awareness Exhibition on a permanent basis  Explore options to expand the exhibition and offer more energy advisory services  Explore the financing of such EIC NEXT ACTIVITIES PLANNED

15  Incentive schemes for exchange of appliances ("cash for clunkers" or similar)  Assess similar programmes having been implemented in Barbados, Cuba, Mexico etc.  Develop Concept for exchange programme in the OECS/CARICOM countries NEXT ACTIVITIES PLANNED
