Purpose of the Wow! Phase To transform your design idea into a real working website and publish it to the world.

Three steps to Wow! 1.Implement 2.Launch 3.Promote/Maintain

1. Implement. Process of building the site according to the content outline. –Sections and Sub-sections –Associated Pages Assign roles to team members –Web Master: site wide privileges –Editor: can create and approve content for publishing at section level –Contributor – can create content; need Editor approval to publish

1. Implement. Click on “Add” Top-level navigation for this site… You can choose: Top-level Nav (Section) Mini-site (Sub-section) Page

2. Launch. Your created Sections, sub-sections, and pages, are drafts by defaul. In order to see them on the live site, you must publish them. You can publish sections, sub- sections, or pages individually or all at once.

3. Promote / Maintain. School Loop sites are self promoting as the school’s audiences (parents, students, faculty) regularly access and use the assignment and grade book features. Navigation and other design elements wrap around these regularly used features once the site is published.

3. Promote / Maintain. Sharing the load of creating and updating pages among contributors, editors, and webmasters throughout the school site will ensure an up to date site. An agreed upon set of rules for content and processes for updating are key to have in place. Evaluate using feedback mechanisms.

3. Promote / Maintain. Gather evaluation and feedback via survey –See WebsiteFeedback.pdf Monitor Site Stats –Basic School Loop report that provides the number of page views in 30 day running totals –Available under the Webmaster Center. Access by clicking Manage > Site Stats Google Analytics –See Google Analytics for how to setupGoogle Analytics
