2 What does Computer Engineering entail? Computer Engineering is the development of computer software and hardware. It is a combination of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Everything from smart phones to websites are products of Computer Engineering. There are also more than five specialty areas within this field. Some of them include embedded systems, integrated systems and information protection. A lot of the daily appliances we use were created by Computer Engineers.
