10. EDUCATION SECTION Do not list high school education. Our CCHS nursing diploma reads: Associate of Applied Science In Nursing Resume: Associate of Applied Science, Nursing Similarly:Bachelor of Arts, Music Bachelor of Science, Biology If in doubt, check diploma/certificate of completion.

11. Most students will use reverse chronological order. However Functional organization style or combined chronological/functional will be best for some.

12. USE BULLETS FOR JOB FUNCTIONS Begin each bullet with an action verb (see Resume Power Words). Focus on transferrable skills. Minimize articles (a/an/the). Work to keep each bulleted function to one line.

13. ONE PAGE OR TWO? WHAT TO INCLUDE? The critical consideration is relevance.

14. Final section can be entitled what you wish: Certifications/ Awards Community Service/ Memberships Honors

15. Show your resume to as many people as possible for feedback – especially experienced and observant ones!
