4 About Kangaroos There are 47 species of "roos.“ An adult male is called a buck, boomer or jack An adult female is called a doe, flyer, roo, or jill A baby is called a joey A group of roos is called a mob

5 Kangaroos have long tails that help them keep balance They call the tail the third leg because it’s muscular Kangaroos hop and jump on their hind legs There legs can leap 30 feet with each hop and can go 30-40 mph The size of a kangaroos can be up to 6 ft tall and can weigh up to 300 pounds Kangaroos’ fur can be blue, grey, red, black, yellow, or brown Characteristics http://tinyurl.com/kuctwl2 Other images taken from Kids Search
