2  Definition: Using someone else’s creative expressions, graphics or ideas and passing them off as your own and not giving the original creator credit.  It’s Illegal

3  Turning in a paper you wrote previously in another class.  Purchasing a paper from someone and turning it in  Cutting and pasting from more than one source to create a paper without quoting or giving credit.  Failing to put quotation marks around the words of others.

4  The majority of plagiarism is unintentional  Paraphrasing poorly: changing a few words without changing the sentence or changing the sentence around but not the words.  Citing poorly: omitting an occasional citation or citing inaccurately.

11  Citations should be in alphabetical order.  If there’s no author, then use the article’s title.  Underline the title of books and magazines.  Citations should be double spaced.
