3 3 IEEE 11073 GC Montreal 2016-05-10 IEEE Std 11073-10101a and NIST RTMMS update Approved by IEEE-SA Standards Board on December 5, 2015 Published on December 9 th and uploaded to NIST RTMMS NIST RTMMS has been updated with -10101a nomenclature and was used for limited testing at IHE NA Connectathon. Co-constraints (units, enums and sites) for new -10101a terms have been uploaded to NIST RTMMS will be available shortly, pending final review and verification. The new second-generation harmonized Rosetta, hRTM2, will combine the ‘old’ 10101 and ‘new’ 10101a terms and co-constraints, and use -10102 aECG lead offsets  65. XSL Output.x2c.2016-02-09T13.html (hRTM2 html) XSL Output.x1e.2016-05-06T11.uom.html (UOM comparison with NIST RTMMS) XSL Output.x2c.2016-02-09T13.html XSL Output.x1e.2016-05-06T11.uom.html Co-constraints for several PHD devices will also be included, based on published -20601 PHD and -104xx specializations.

7 7 IEEE 11073 GC Montreal 2016-05-10 New Term REFID and Code Assignments Background for this discussion, motivated by the desirability of having numeric code assignments at the earliest possible time. Use NIST RTMMS as the authoritative numeric code generator for new terms to guarantee non-overlap between multiple organizations, e.g. IEEE 11073, IHE PCD DEC, PCHA. If the proposed Reference ID, Disc, Part::Code is discarded during balloting, it is retired as a “zombie term” and cannot be re-used. Is this a good idea? Yes, if we can keep the number of “zombie terms” to a small number (< 5 – 10% of new terms defined). No, we could end up with a ‘free-for-all’ if this is uncontrolled without any degree of editorial review and curation.
