2 Tilapia is a freshwater commodity that can be mass production to an industrial scale and sold in the form of alive, WGGS, fillet and many processed products. As is euryhaline fish, tilapia is also one alternative commodities that could be cultivated in brackish water ponds for utilization of coastal areas. Moreover, the presence of salinity is expected to eliminate the wild spawning, so tilapia is possible to produce up to a large size (> 350 g). Land used in this activity is a 4,000 m2 pond that was used for the cultivation of tiger shrimp 4,000 m2 and a water depth of 1.2-1.5 cm. BACKGROUND Need Mass Production System of Tilapia in Salinity Ponds Until Market Size for Fish Processing Unit (Fillet and WGGS) in ABC Karawang, Indonesia

3 METHODE  Pond that is used in this activity is salinity pond with broad dimensions of 4,000 M 2 and water depth of 1.2-1.5 M.  The seeds were stocked starting 8 grams of 25,000 fish or stocking density about 6 fish/M 2.  Feed used is a commercial floating pellets with a protein content about 28-32%. Feeding frequency is 2 times a day.  To produce WGGS size (Without Gill, Gut, and Scale) is used black tilapia and to fillet size used red tilapia (hybrid).  Long rearing required is 90 days (WGGS size with an average body weight of 200 g) and 120 days (the fillet size with a mean weight of 350 g.  The use of paddle wheel of 1-2 pieces which are operated according to the size of fish.

16 Conclusions The Results shows survival rate (SR) around 70-90 %. To produce WGGS size obtained FCR = 1.00 to 1.20, while the fillet size obtained FCR = 1.40 to 1.60. The water salinity range abauth 15-25 ppt during fish maintenance. Business analysis shows R/C ratio to produce WGGS size = 1.28 and the fillet size = 1.24. Processing is done in collaboration with processing plants around Karawang, West Java. Results tilapia reared in salinity pond yield fillet around 31-35% of fish
