About Ms. James Overall this is my 8 th year in the district In addition to being your awesome Career Choices Teacher, I am also the Athletic Director I love sports and have played and coached inter-collegiately Cooking is a hobby of mine as well as photography and crocheting I work for the Seattle Seahawks in the community Relations and Fan Development Department Excited you are my very first class at CP

3. Expectations!! Be prompt  Be ready to learn when class begins. Be prepared  Have materials with you and know due dates.  Maintain you portfolio Be productive  Turn in work on time  Be a problem solver  Correct problems quickly and peacefully before they escalate.

4. Show Respect Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and practice strong moral values. Treat all members of the school community and all visitors with politeness and respect. Honor the ideas and opinions of others. Offer to help. Be responsible with property and belongings.

5. What are your Expectations? From me…. From your classmates… Here is your first assignment: use a scratch piece of paper and…. Take a moment and write down a few expectations you have for this class!

6. Responsibility for Coursework Bring planner, flash drive and portfolio to class EVERY CLASS. (you will be contributing to your “portfolio” daily. This a folder designated only for Career Choices!) Submit all coursework on time. Assignments will be posted on TeacherWeb

7. 10 Basics Work hard. Be nice. Think. Appreciate others. Accept challenge. Follow the rules. Wonder. Study. Go to class. Participate.

8. Policies Food and beverages are not allowed in the tech lab. (if you carry a water bottle with you, please keep it on the floor and step away from the computers) Please be in your seat when the bell rings, as class begins at that time. Absences  Check TeacherWeb or ask a classmate for missed assignments.  Each excused absence has a one-day grace period.

9. My Pledge to You!! I will trust you until you give me reason to do otherwise. I will respect you and work with you to solve problems. I will promptly correct and offer feedback on your work. I will work with you to meet learning goals. I will offer extra help and alternative assessments should you require them.
