ASSIGNMENT How do you manage your time? -Write down all the activities that you do daily, then weekly -Break up the activities into a pie chart -Do you manage your time wisely? Write a response to this question. -How could you improve your time management?

CALENDAR AND APPOINTMENT BOOKS Basically you can plan future events so that you can plan ahead

THIRD GENERATION Adds to both notes and checklists, and calendar and appointment books but adds prioritization. Prioritization - Comparing values and worth of different activities.

4 TH GENERATION Manage ourselves not time. Golden Rule” Meet the human needs as well as the personal and professional goals”

ASSIGNMENT 2 - Use a calendar, weekly schedule, and to do list to compile your plan for the next week. - You will have one week to finish this assignment.

5 CRITERIA FOR TIME MANAGEMENT LEADERS Coherence- Roles and Categories, goals and objectives, priorities and scheduling Balance- Balance Family, work and Play Focus- Concentrate on the important issues instead of problems that may occur People Centered- Must find a way to connect and give empathy for people Flexibility- Must be able to adapt to changing situations (Workplace, Home life, etc)

SETTING AND PRIORITIZING GOAL Goals provide direction for time management Assignment (Get a separate sheet of paper out) Make 3 short range goals that you want to accomplish. (24 hrs, week, month) Make 3 long-range goals that you want to accomplish (1 year, 5 years, 10 years)

WHAT IS THE CURE FOR PROCRASTINATION Identify short-term rewards for accomplishing tasks Identify long-term rewards for accomplishing tasks Do it now Take small steps Do the easy parts first Tell Someone else of your commitment Reduce the amount of time you have to accomplish the task Plan to work at time in least fatigue (Day or Night Person)
