3 The new higher education classroom? “...very helpful and very relevant. if you are serious about a career... and serious about a long term engagement in the arts and taking...your place, your own little spot in the art world...It’s been wonderful for me.” Student 2 “ I can speak (now) from a knowledge based platform rather than just my own experience.” Student 1 “University has been a long term goal...it was fantastic... It was a really good confidence boost...” Student 3 “When you have worked for somewhere... for more than ten years, to put your hand up and say, yes, I need something to do, and no-one to say yes... you feel really slapped in the face for that... I hate it...” Tutor 1 “And I will go back to retail. Or go and word in admin, or something. I’ll do something else.” Tutor 2 “I need to find other things to do with my life.” Tutor 3
