5. Start / Pre-Start Follow tapes to pre-start, ~600m – route is flat and good surface At Pre-start you will be called up in start order to TC1 After TC1 follow taped route to TC2, grass/dirt surface, 10m climb After TC2 continue to Start area, grass surface, 10m climb. Wait till you are called.

6. Course Details for PreO Day 1 Scale: 1:4000, contour interval 2.5m, A4 sized map 23 controls + 2 TCs Time Controls (both Para and Open) are BEFORE the course and have 5 kites and 2 problems. Course length: 1.0km with height climb < 5m Open time limit: 100 minutes Para time limit: 130 minutes

7. Additional course details There are no zeroes on the same feature There are a lot of point features. For map clarity these might have been moved slightly from their precise location. Please be careful using them for lining up. There are no lines between control circles. We have done our best to cut the circles to avoid hiding important features.

8. Quarantine Quarantine is at end of the course Follow tapes from the finish Remain in the Quarantine until the last competitor starts After Quarantine has finished, competitors should follow tapes directly to the event centre Location is the same venue as for TempO Qualification.

9. Arena and Special symbols Map on p68 shows the finish quarantine as an Arena. Please don't go there. Event centre for PreO1 is in Bohema, as shown on the next page (p69) Special symbols are on p68

10. One way sections There are 3 sections of the track marked in red with arrows on the map – these are one-way sections They will also be marked in the terrain with tape and signs, as in the PreO Model today. Once you enter a one-way section you must continue downhill, you cannot turn back. If you forget to punch before entering the one- way you cannot go back to punch These will be marshalled

11. Miscellaneous Each competitor must have the provided start number visible Controls must be visited in order – the software can check! Please remember not to take any GPS, altimeters, mobile phones or cameras onto the course. Please remember to spin (gently!) the carousel after punching. All tapes in terrain and along the tracks are approximate and not to be used for accurate positioning.
