3 Promotion of the MRA to Government Objective: To ensure that the relevant Government authorities related to international trade are aware of the APLAC and ILAC MRAs, both within the NZ economy and New Zealand’s export markets Promoting the removal of technical barriers to trade.

4 Methodology The creation of a guidance document including: –sourcing contacts in both local economy and overseas. –Ready-made letter templates

5 I draw your attention to the trading relationship between our two countries..now recognize inspection, testing and calibration reports as being technically equivalent …you may find our success in this area a useful example to be cited on appropriate occasions ….. …the acceptance of reports in both countries is a trade facilitation issue….. An explanation of the technical standards and the robustness of the MRA
